Eiffel Tower – August 2013

My copy of Robert Delaunay’s Painting of the Eiffel Tower. I really like how he had taken this beautiful architectural structure and distorted it all and played with cold colours to represent the pollution of Paris.

Archway – October 2014 

I decided to paint this archway during my architecture project in my first term back of second year. I wanted to emphasise the ornaments of architecture that I loved, like doorways, window frames and archways. I used acrylic paints on white paper for this piece, and as you can see left a lot of negative space around the main subject. I felt this emphasised even further my excitement for the ornaments that architecture creates.
